Hello, all. I know it's been quite a while since my last journal entry and I don't have much to say so I'll keep it short and sweet.

I have entered JPG Magazine's competition for the theme "Democracy" and what it means to me. [link] is the photo. It was taken right near my house during a thunderstorm two days ago. Any votes will be appreciated. Thank you to anyone who has already voted, too.

I find that I'm taking more and more photos of animals. I would love to be taking photos of other things, but Suburbia doesn't have much to offer besides green grass and highway construction so I'm pretty much stuck with the Zoo, wild animals in my neighborhood, and pets. What I do like is the raw emotion that animals seem to have, while a human might fake a smile or a frown. This makes animals humorous and beautiful at times.

It might be temporary, but I'm leaving. I have about 20 photos I could upload, but I just don't feel it's worth the effort just to get 2 favs and not a single critique. Comments are in rare use. If I wanted one person to say "Oooh, pretty colors," I wouldn't have posted on dA, which I thought was an art community. People watch each other just as a measure of social status on dA. Photography is at a standstill on dA. It's mostly professionals that are amazing (very rare) or n00bs who overuse selective coloring.
